Bonneau: Dolores Ann 1958 - 2004
Dolores passed away September 18, 2004 in Calgary, Alberta. She was born July
18, 1958 in Didsbury, Alberta. She leaves to mourn her sister Linda (Vic),
daughter Chantell (Derek) and granddaughter Hayley, Aunt Loretta, cousins
Brenda, Penny and families. She will be lovingly remembered by family and
friends. Memorial service to be held at Courtney-Winter's Funeral Chapel,
Drumheller, Alberta at 11:00 a.m. October 15, 2004. Luncheon to follow at the
Salvation Army Meeting Hall. 242 1st Street West, Drumheller. All welcome.

Jensen: Ove Albert 1917 - 2004
Ove Albert Jensen of Drumheller passed away peacefully on October 7, 2004 at the
Drumheller Hospital with his family at his side. He was born in Kimballton, Iowa
in 1917, and came with his family by rail to Wayne, Alberta in 1927. Ove lived
and farmed in the Dalum area until 2000 when he and Edie retired to Drumheller.
Among other loved family members, Ove was predeceased by his parents, Albert and
Anna Jensen, his daughter Lynne Ellen Wright, his brother Arild Jensen, and
sisters-in-Iaw Glenys Jensen and Marie Jensen. He is missed and loved by his
wife of 60 years, Edie; his siblings Herluf Jensen and Gerda (Folmer) Rasmussen;
his children Joan Reiffenstein (Laurie), Susan Brown (Carson), and Albert Jensen
(Cindy); his granddaughters Julie (Jim), Katherine, Lisa (Damian), and Micalah;
his grandsons Warren, Colin, Logan and Spencer; his great-grandson Owen and his
nieces and nephews. A funeral service celebrating Ove's life will be held at the
Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Dalum on Wednesday, October 13, at 2:00 PM. In lieu
of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Drumheller Hospital Continuing
Care or charity of choice.

Kostiuk: Michael October 11, 1924 - October 4,
2004
Suddenly on October 4, 2004, Mike Kostiuk of Grandview, Manitoba, passed away at
his home at the age of 79 years. Mike was born on October 11, 1924 in Rossburn,
Manitoba. As a young child, he moved with his parents to the Riding Park
Community south of Grandview, Manitoba. He attended school at the Sugar Loaf
Country School. Mike left school at an early age to work on the family farm. In
his early 20's he tried the mining occupation in Red Rock, Ontario but within 2
years returned to farming. He farmed together with his father and brothers John
and Walter for over a span of 50 years.
Even though he had retired to Grandview in 1996, he still was helping his brothers with the farming. Mike will also be remembered for his love of carpentry and woodworking; the scent of the woods and the intricate wood grain patterns gave him great pleasure. Mike demonstrated his skills in the construction of many benches, chairs and birdhouses including many carpentry projects for his family and friends. He also enjoyed refinishing antique furniture. In 1967, Mike took over from his father, the position of Church Elder/Server at the Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Riding Park and held the position until his death. He also served as Secretary - Treasurer for the church since 1965, often holding the Church Annual Meeting in his home. He was determined to keep the church operating and functional.
Mike loved to camp in the Duck Mountains and especially enjoyed quading with his brother John and many of his friends. He also enjoyed hunting for deer, elk and moose. Mike married Nellie Chychowski on November 5, 1950 at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Riding Park. Mike and Nellie raised their two wonderful daughters on their farm south of Grandview, Manitoba. Mike was predeceased by his wife Nellie and his parents Fred and Lillian Kostiuk.
Left to mourn and cherish fond memories of Mike are his two daughters, Shirley and her husband Ken Briault of Drumheller, Alberta, and Marlene and her husband Cliff Sul of Winnipeg, Manitoba, his two brothers, WaIter and John of Grandview and his sister Olga and her husband Bill Runnalls of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Mike is also survived by his three sisters-in-law: Ann Kachan, Lillian Kozakowski, Olga Chychowski, all of Grandview, Manitoba, two brothers-in-law: Matt Chychowski and his wife Shirley of Brandon, Manitoba and Mike Pullock of Churchbridge, Saskatchewan. There are many nieces, nephews, extended families, and many friends.
Prayers were offered on Friday, October 8, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. from the Grandview St. Elias Ukrainian Catholic Church. Divine Liturgy and funeral service was held from the Church on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. Father Oleg Bodnarski officiated and the interment followed in the Riding Park Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Parish Cemetery. His two daughters offered a tribute to their father. Active pallbearers were Mike Kaminsky, Daniel Kaminsky, Eugene Kachan, Orest Kachan, David Kozakowski, Dwayne Pullock. All Mike's family and friends were to consider themselves as honorary pallbearers. Donations in memory of Mike may be made to Riding Park Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Parish Cemetery Fund. Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Service of Dauphin had care of the arrangements.

Radke: Ryan Walter January 11, 1953 - October 3,
2004
Ryan Walter Radke passed away on October 3, 2004 at his beloved farm in Hand
Hills, Alberta. Born in Hanna on January 11, 1953, Ryan spent his entire life in
the Hand Hills. He took over his fatherıs (Walter Radke) farm after marrying
Geraldine Harvey (his highschool sweetheart) in 1972. Ryan also worked as the
security supervisor for Sheerness, where his mischievious smile will be missed
by all. Ryan will be forvever remembered as a hardworking husband, a brilliant
father, a generous brother and a loving son. His dry humour and subtle smirk
were hard to escape and will be lovingly remembered by all he touched. Ryan will
be missed by his wife Gerry, his 3 daughters Danielle (Darin), Andrea and
Chelsea, as well as his son Matthew and daughter-in-law Stacey. The loss of Ryan
will also be felt by his mother Bertha Radke, brother Reg, mother-in-law Elsie
Harvey, sister-in-law Shirley (Garry) Keibel, brother-in-law Allan (Anne)
Harvey, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family. A celebration
of Ryanıs life was held at the Hand Hills Lake Clubhouse on Friday, October 8,
2004. Donations can be made in Ryan's memory to STARS and the Emergency
Department of the Drumheller Regional Health Complex. A star has been named
after Ryan: "You were always our guiding light, now you will shine forever."
