Hansen: Gordon C  April 1, 1925 - November 7, 2004

Gordon Hansen passed away peacefully in the Drumheller Hospital on November 7, 2004 with all his family by his side. He was born in Long Beach, California on April 1, 1925 and is survived by Lil, his loving wife of 58 years and one day, daughter Diane (Larry) Graham, son, Wayne (Rose) Hansen, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sisters, Vonnie Danyluk and Marilyn Parker and one brother Mel (Pearl) Hansen. He was predeceased by his infant daughter, Sheila, in 1951 and by his parents Thorvald and Christine. Gordon joined the Canadian Navy in 1944 and proudly served our nation until 1946. Later that year, honeymoon travels took him and his bride to California where he worked for two years before returning to Canada. Gordon and Lil farmed in the Munson district until their retirement to Drumheller in 1987. A memorial service will be held at the Munson Community Hall, Thursday, November 11th at 2:00 p.m. in lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial tributes can be made to STARS or the charity of their choice.

Kralik: Margaret Elizabeth  1929 - 2004

On November 3, 2004 Margaret passed away gracefully at the age of 75 years. Margaret was born and raised in Newcastle (Drumheller), Alberta.  She attended school in Drumheller and following graduation she attended Business College in Calgary.  She worked as a stenographer at various places including the Drumheller Hospital, the Midland Coalmine, the Treasury Branch, and the Bank of Montreal.  She married Cy of Drumheller in 1951. Together they eventually moved to Penticton, B.C. where they owned and operated a small motel, and had their only child, Shelley.  After 15 years they returned to Drumheller where they purchased their farm.  While Cy farmed, Margaret became well known as one of the secretaries at the high school, where she worked until she retired.  She found immense joy in being with her family and grandchildren, and golfing with her friends. Margaret was predeceased by her father, Julius Kulsar in 1956; step-father Louis Toth in 2003, and mother Mary Toth in 2004. Margaret will be fondly remembered by her husband Cy of Drumheller; daughter Shelley (Danny) and grandchildren Meghan and Danielle of Drumheller; brother Chester (Nellie) of Calgary; and nieces and nephews Glen, Edward (Mary-Anne); Janice (Grant); Clarice (Darren) of Calgary; and many other friends and relatives that were in her heart. Margaret was deeply touched and appreciative of the support of her family and friends during her last few weeks. Margaret's wishes were to have a private family funeral which will be held November 10.  Donations are gratefully accepted to the Drumheller Health Centre or the charity of one's choice. Nevard: Ginette

Mrs. Ginette Nevard, late of Glenevis, passed away on November 4, 2004, at the age of 53 years. She is survived by her loving family; husband of 12 years, Ron Nevard; 3 children, Mary-Anne Kerr of Drumheller, Jamie Nevard of Winnipeg, MB, and Ginger Kerr of North Bay, ON; her grandchildren James Garson, Daylon Kerr, Alissa Garson, and Carrie-Ann Garson; her father, Rene Guay of Quebec; 6 sisters Lyne (Rudy Fantinato), Danielle (Gilbert Lasalle), Renee, Sylvie, Suzanne, and Nancy (Daren Hanson) with many nieces and nephews, other family and friends. Ginette is predeceased by her mother, CIaudette; and 2 brothers, Gilles and Sylvain. Funeral Service for Ginette was held on Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. from the Church of Jesus Christ  of Latter-day Saints, in Barrhead, with Bishop David Richardson officiating. Interment will be in the Drumheller Cemetery on Friday, November 12, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Rose Garden Chapel, Barrhead, AB, 780-674-4644. Robinson: Seth Thomas  October 9, 2004 - October 28, 2004

Our beloved and precious son, Seth Thomas Robinson of Rimbey, Alberta passed away suddenly on October 28, 2004 at the tender age of 19 days.  

"Now I lay me down to sleep; I pray Thee, Lord, my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray Thee, Lord, my soul to take."

Seth will be lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of his parents, Jason and Jody; and always treasured by his maternal grandparents, Rose and Dan OBoone Armstrong of Drumheller; and by his paternal grandparents, Gerri and Aaron Robinson of Rimbey.  He will also be lovingly remembered by his maternal great grandparents, Agnes and Ed Ford of Calgary; and his paternal great grandparents, Kay and Tom Armstrong of Crossfield; and Doreen and Les Peters of Red Deer; as well as by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Funeral Services were held at the Rimbey Church of the Nazarene, Rimbey on Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Dave MacMillan officiating.  Cremation followed in Red Deer, Alberta.  The Family graciously declines memorial donations, instead they express their desire that you give to your own child or children, In Loving Memory of Seth. Scarlett: Evelyn May (nee Cammidge)  May 11, 1925 - November 5, 2004

 
Evelyn May Scarlett (nee Cammidge) passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 5th, 2004 at the age of 79 years. She is survived by her loving children, Sharon (John), Diane (Ken), Judy (John), Myrna (Walter), Wendy, Debbie, Brent (Debbie), Leslie (Caroline), Randy (Sherry) and Rob, six sisters and their families, 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John in 1968. Evelyn who was born on May 11th, 1925 in Innisfail, Alberta was the eldest daughter born to Leslie and Matilda Cammidge. She took her schooling in Innisfail and pursued her education further in Calgary to become a school teacher in 1943. Her teaching career was short lived, however as she met and married John Scarlett on December 23rd, 1945 at which time she became a farmerıs wife. Evelyn and John and their ever growing family lived in several places throughout their marriage and finally moved to Wayne in 1957 when John became a grain buyer for the Alberta Wheat Pool. They resided in Wayne until Johnıs passing in 1968. Evelyn then moved her family to Drumheller and finally came to reside in Nacmine where she lived until her passing. Evelyn was dedicated to her family and took great pleasure through her life watching her children grow  into the fine adults they are today for which she was very proud. Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her children, grandchildren and camping. She also took great pleasure in her religion and lived by it daily. Winter: Roland George (Rollie)  1923 - 2004

Mr. Roland George (Rollie) Winter was born on February 19, 1923 in Drumheller, Alberta and passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2004 in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital, Vernon, B.C. at the age of 81 years, after a lengthy illness.  He was predeceased by his parents, George and Nellie Winter; his son, Brian; and his daughter, Carol.  Rollie is survived by his loving family: his wife, Pauline; his children, Ritchie (Cindy), Kathy (Peter), David (Pamela) and Mary Lou (Dave); his step-children, Alice, Fred, Maureen, Mary Anne (Gregor) and Ken (Catherine); 14 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.  Rollie started his working career with the R.C.M.P., but will be best remembered for the many years he was a Funeral Director in Alberta.  He retired to Vernon, B.C. in 1983 and became an active member of the Kalamalka Lodge, Eheyeh Chapter #27, Gizeh Shriners, the Vernon Shrine Club and Knox Presbyterian Church.  Cremation preceded the Funeral Service which was held at Knox Presbyterian Church, corner of 32nd Avenue and Alexis Park Drive, Vernon, B.C. on Monday, November 8, 2004 at 2 p.m. with Reverend Ed Millin officiating.  As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Rollie to the Shriners Hospital For Crippled Children c/o Gizeh Temple A.A.O.N.M.S., 3550 - Wayburn Drive, Burnaby, B.C.
