Pearson: David (Dave) George  1924 - 2004

David (Dave) George Pearson of Carbon passed away at the Drumheller Hospital on Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at the age of 80 years. Dave was born on February 18, 1924 in Delia, Alberta.  He took all of his schooling at Enterprise Valley before going to S.A.I.T. in Calgary, where he studied Automotive Mechanics and Welding. He worked for E.O. Parry at Rumsey for a time before moving to Carbon in 1950 to work for Wright Motors.  At this time he married Jean Spence of Michichi. In 1954 he purchased his own welding shop and operated it until 1963 when he sold it and went farming in the Hesketh area. He continued to farm until 1976 when he sold out and worked with Pat Poole in the carpentry trade until he retired. Dave was predeceased by his wife Jean; his parents, Ernest and Ethel Pearson; sister Doris; and brother Harry. He is survived by two brothers, Tony of Drumheller and Roger (Mary) of Delia; one sister-in-law, Rita McKinnon (Allen) of Standard; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 30, 2004, with internment at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Calgary and a memorial service in the United Church in Carbon at 2 p.m. with Harold Hunter officiating. Siemens: John  August 1, 1922 - March 23, 2004

John Siemens of Drumheller passed away at the age of 81 years at the Drumheller Nursing Home. John was born in Friedensruh, Russia and came to Canada at the age of three with his parents and brother, Jake.  John grew up on his dadıs farm in Munson, which he later purchased and farmed with his wife Beth and family.  John also worked at the Atlas Mines in East Coulee, and after farming, worked with the local John Deere Dealership until his retirement.  John then began a trophy business (Tower Trophies) that he operated out of their home on 10 St. East in Drumheller. John is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Beth of 59 years; his children Doug (Janis), Jim (Jacquie), John (Barb), Ed (Norma), Ray (Alexia), Marlene (John Affleck), and Aileen (Ed Jackson).
He also leaves to mourn 22 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren, as well as his four brothers, Jake (Helen), Abe (Irngard), Ben, and Bert (Donna). John was predeceased by his mother Margaret, father John, step-mother Mary, and by his brother Ernie, granddaughter Jennifer Siemens, and great-granddaughter Allyn Church. John (Dad) was a loving, caring giving father.  His faith in Christ has been left as a heritage to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. This scripture verse in Proverbs 20:7 best describes our Dad:  'The righteous man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him.' A celebration of his life was held on March 27, 2004 at the Drumheller Fellowship Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mustard Seed Street Ministry, 102 - 11 Ave. S.E. Vandale:  Doris J.  1928 - 2004

We are saddened to announce the passing of our much loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Doris J. Vandale, in Drumheller, Alberta on March 23, 2004 at the age of 76.  Doris was predeceased by her husband Leonard Vandale in 2000.  She will be always remembered by her loving family including Cindy (Dohn), Ruth, Donna (Gerry), Alex, Gordon (Yvonne), Richard (Judy), Susan (Brian), Eva, Tim (Marie), Remie (Irene); thirty grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; her sisters, Marion, Enid, Nancy, Beth, Margaret and brother, Alfred.  A Service to Celebrate her Life was held at Drumheller Church of the Nazarene on Monday, March 29, 2004 with Pastor Wayne McCrackin officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Doris Vandale made to the D.A.H.F.
