Anhorn: Richard  1940 - 2004

Richard Anhorn passed away on March 13, 2004. He will be survived by his sons Dean Anhorn and Glen (Tracy) Anhorn; four grandchildren; sisters Marjorie, Laura and Violet; and brothers Harold, Vern, Harvey and Gary. Richard was predeceased by his father Jacob Anhorn, and his mother Rose Anhorn. Richard was born in Hilda on April 12, 1940.  He married Mary Suderman in 1965 nd had two sons, Dean and Glen.  He lived in Winnipeg for a short time, working as a welder.  The family moved to Oyen in 1973 where Richard worked many trades; welding, trucking, farming, construction and autowrecking.  In the 1990ıs up until the present, Richard lived in Drumheller where he worked as a machinist and welder.  He enjoyed camping, fishing and tinkering with cars.  He loved cooking, dancing and socializing, and was always ready for a good joke.  Above all, Richard loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.  He will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 19, 2004 at 1 p.m. from Courtney-Winter's Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, and Canadian Diabetes Association. Courtney-Winter's in care of arrangements.

Brown: Muriel Helen (nee Graves)  1909 - 2004

Muriel Helen (nee Graves) passed away peacefully at the Lodge at Broadmead on March 10, 2004 at the age of 94.  Muriel was born in Calgary, Alberta on September 24, 1909 by English parents, William and Helen Graves.  She achieved a Gold Medal in Nursing (1928 - 1931), then worked as a head nurse in Drumheller from 1931 - 1941.  Here she met and married Duncan Alexander Brown.  She is predeceased by her husband (Dunnie), survived by  her sons Sandy and Duncan, daughters Catherine and Elizabeth, 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Raising their children in Drumheller for 40 years, Dunnie and Muriel moved to Victoria 30 years ago achieving their dream of living by the seaside. Muriel was an extremely loving, giving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to oh so many.  Her home was a gathering place.  She made life fun with wit, joy and humour.  Her creative abilities in playing piano, writing music, needle work, drawing and painting brought joy to the beholder. A special celebration of Murielıs life will take place on Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at 2 p.m. at First Memorial Funeral Chapel located at 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria.  In lieu of flowers, a donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated (Parkinsonıs Society)

Foesier: Helene  1915 - 2004

Mary 'Helene' Foesier of Calgary passed away at the Forest Grove Care Centre on Monday, March 8, 2004 at the age of 89 years. Helene was born on January 7, 1915 in Munson, AB.  She married Nels Foesier on January 7, 1933.  In 1959 she moved to Calgary where she continued her  education and became a Nurses' Aide.  Helene was also involved with the militia and St. Johnıs Ambulance. Helene is survived by her five sons and two daughters, Jacques Foesier of Toronto, ON, Theresa and Matt Werner of Kamloops, B.C., Marie Turnbull of Salmon Arm, B.C., Aloysius and Leslye Foesier of Calgary, Gerald and Lorraine Foesier of Rowley, AB, Bernard Foesier of Calgary, AB, and Patrick and Trish Foesier of Stettler, AB; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by a brother, Bob Beaudet of B.C. She was predeceased by her husband Nels, a son Nellis, daughter-in-law Jeanne Foesier, and son-in-law John Turnbull. Relatives and friends were invited to prayers and tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North), on Friday, March 12, 2004 at 8 p.m.  Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Josephıs Catholic Church (640 - 19th Avenue N.W.) on Saturday, March 13, 2004 at 2 p.m.  with Rev.
