Fleming: Elizabeth

Eliabeth Fleming passed away Sunday, June 27, 2004 at the age of 71 years. She was pre-deceased by three siblings in infancy, her parents John and Annie Hewalo, a sister Pearl Procyk and a brother, Fred Hewalo. Liz is survived by her husband, David of 43 years, son Don (Heather) Fleming of Stettler, daughter Mary (Terry) Langman of Regina and a son John of Delia, grandchildren Pamela (Gary) Retzer of Regina, Tiffany and Timothy Langman of Regina, Leigh, Lindal, Melanie, Anisley and Aryele Fleming. She is also survived by brothers John (Phyllis) Hewalo of Thunder Bay, ON; Murray (Laurencia) Hewalo of Montartre, SK; Sisters Tina (Tom) Soames of Langley, BC; Evelyn Spencer of Vancouver BC; Nancy (Floyd) Stoudt of Saskatoon SK; Olga Edl of Calgary; Mary Culbreth of St. Petersburg FL and Diana (Hank) Dolvd of Whitehorse. Elizabeth was born October 30, 1932 on the family farm at Montmartre, SK. She acquired her education in a one room school house in the Camelot school district. Elizabeth went on to take a business course in Regina where she continued to live and work until 1956, when she moved with sisters Mary and Olga to Calgary. A few of the places Elizabeth worked at as a bookkeeper were Sturdy Propane in Regina, Canadian Propane, Totem Lumber and Superstrong Aluminum in Calgary. She most recently worked at Bob Mark's Pontiac in Hanna. Elizabeth enjoyed hobbies such as gardening, needlework, decorating Ukrainian Easter Eggs and rock picking with her family. Funeral will be held on July 5, 2004 at 1:00 pm at Delia Christian Fellowship Church in Delia, AB. Interment at Delia Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends and family are encouraged to donate to the Canadian Diabetic Association or the charity of their choice.
