CHARLES PAUL ALLARD C.D. (CHUCK)
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Charles Paul
Allard on May 30th at age 83 with his family by his side. Beloved husband of
Joan and cherished father to sons Paul (Karen) of Calgary AB, Peter (Vicky),
Perry (Sylvia), daughters Debbie (Lyle) and Charlaine. Beloved Pompa to Steven,
Scott, Sandy, Kim, Jay, Sherry, Perry Jr., Shannon, Sherri, Corinna, Chrystal,
Shyla, Rachel and 21 great grandchildren. He is
fondly remembered by his sister Bernice (Gordon) Pugh of Calgary, many nieces
and nephews. Chuck was predeceased by his son Patrick, daughter-in-law Roxanne,
grandson Sean, brother Edward and sister Celene. Chuck was born July 17th, 1920
in Drumheller, AB. He enlisted in the Canadian Army in 1940. While stationed in
London England during WWII he met and married his wife Joan of 62 years. He
later volunteered to serve in the Korean War. After his return he was posted to
Camp Borden, ON. In 1955 he was posted to Soest West Germany, returning in 1957
to Winnipeg and his final posting with 10 Company RCASC. Retiring from the
Armed Forces Chuck became senior lifeguard at the Central YMCA retiring after 10
years of service. Chuck was a life member of Rockwood ANAF 303. Chuck was an
avid sportsman and excelled in hockey, baseball and his passion for golf earned
him two holes in one. Chuck and Joan spent many happy summers at Lakeside
Trailer Park, Winnipeg Beach with his faithful yorkie, Tigga. In respect
with Chuck' wishes, palliative care were provided at home by the wonderful staff
from the St. Boniface Hospital and Home Care services. Cremation has taken
place. A memorial service will be held Thursday June 3rd at 2:00 PM at Rockwood
ANAF, 341 Wilton, with Reverend Gordon Shields officiating. In lieu of flowers

Campbell: Ion
Mr. Ion Campbell of Drumheller, passed away in Drumheller on May 31, 2004 at the
age of 74 years. Ion is survived by his loving family, wife Donna, children;
Sandy (Marie-Rose) of Airdrie, Earl of Fort MacLeod, Ron of Fort MacLeod, Darcy
(Val) of Fort MacLeod, Beth (Troy) of Calgary, grandchildren; Carmen, Dakota,
Adam, Fallon, Reanne, brother, Robert Campbell of St. Albert, sister, Margaret
Turner of Calgary, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Ion was
born on July 19, 1929 at Cabri, Saskatchewan to James & Hannah Campbell. He
took his education in Empress, upon completion he was employed with C.P.R. He
then took up employment with the Alberta Gas Trunkline, which later became
Nova. Ion and his family lived primarily in Drumheller and Fort MacLeod. Ion
enjoyed reading, watching T.V., puttering in the yard, woodworking and spending
time with his family. Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday June 5,
2004 at 1:30 P.M. from Courtney-Winter's Chapel In The Valley with Rev. Jan
Stevenson officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alberta
Heart & Stroke Foundation. Courtney-Winter's Funeral Chapel are in care of the
arrangements.
