Derhousoff: Ingeborg Marie Conrad  (Skytt)  1925 - 2004

Ingeborg Derhousoff, wife, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away quickly and peacefully Tuesday, June 8, 2004 in Drumheller.  She was surrounded by her loving family who remained at her side throughout her brief stay at the hospital. Against all odds, Mother incredibly survived for eight years following her diagnosis with terminal cancer.  Motherıs remarkable strength and determination allowed her to live her life on her own terms and to it's fullest. Born in Wayne, Alberta August 14, 1925, Ingeborg lived a long and fulfilling life.  She faced the challenge of raising a large family who were a source of both pride and support.  Mom enjoyed the company of friends and family and will always be known for her good nature, warmth and hospitality. Motherıs memory will live on in the hearts and minds of her children Maureen (George) Kashuba, Judy (Brian) Sherman, Beverly (Ken) Hubert, David Derhousoff, Kathy (Jeff) DeMott, Terri (Andrew) Beattie; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at the Drumheller Inn, in Drumheller at 2 p.m. "Mom, if love could have saved you, You would live forever."

Farmer: Thomas Eli

Tom Farmer, beloved companion of Della Westerboi, passed away suddenly on June 13 at the age of 53. He will be lovingly remembered by his companion of 13 years, Della, and her son J.J.; his mother Alice Farmer; his brothers Alan (Mary-Anne) and family of Brooks, Brian and family of Abbottsford, Kevin (Linda) and family of Drumheller, and Darrin (Betty) and family of Drumheller; his sisters Maureen (Larry Needham) and family of Airdrie, Colleen (Doug Finkbiner) and family of Drumheller, and Brenda (Don Yavis) and family of Drumheller; his numerous nieces and nephews, and friends.  Tom was predeceased by his father, Douglas.   Tom was born and raised in Drumheller and was a carpenter with Greene Construction.  He loved the outdoors, reading and spending time with his family. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at the Church of the Nazarene with Harold Hunter officiating.  Donations in Tom's memory may be made to the Heart andStroke Foundation of Alberta (1825 Park Road S.E., Calgary, AB T2G 3Y6).  Arrangements entrusted to Courtney-Winterıs Funeral Chapel, 403-823-2666.

Tanner: Violet

Mrs. Violet Tanner, longtime resident of the Drumheller Valley passed away in Drumheller on June 15, 2004 a the age of 87 years. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters Sherry (Ron) of Innisfail, Colleen (Jack) of Innisfail, grandchildren; Tracy,  Kevin, Adam, Laura, nieces and nephews, and one sister Beth of Squamish, BC.  She was predeceased by her infant son Patrick. A wake will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2004 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at Violetıs residence, 932 Newcastle Trail, Drumheller, Alberta.  Donations in Violetıs memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta (124, 430 - 6th Avenue South, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 2S8).

Thom: Lila Virginia

The family and friends of Lila Virginia Thom are saddened to announce her passing on Monday, June 14, 2004 at the Drumheller Health Care Centre. She leaves to mourn her loving mother, Marie Lingnau; her sons Gerry and Dan; her granddaughter Leah Thom of Richmond, B.C.; and so many special friends. A funeral service will be held at the Church of the Nazarene in Drumheller on Saturday, June 19, 2004 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Wayne McCrackin officiating.  A luncheon will be held following the service at the Drumheller Inn Banquet Room.  Cremation to follow. If desired, donations may be made to any cancer centre of one's choice in Lilaıs memory. Courtney-Winter's Funeral Chapel is in care of arrangements.
