Derhousoff: Michael William 1920 - 2004
Michael William Derhousoff, husband, beloved father, grandfather and great
grandfather, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2004 at the Foothills
Hospital. His remarkable determination, strength and courage were bolstered by
the love and devotion of his children, who remained at his side throughout his
brief, but insurmountable illness. Born in Kamsack, Saskatchewan on December
25, 1920. Mike lived a long and fulfilling life. His greatest accomplishments
and source of pride and enjoyment were his children, their families and his many
friends. He will always be fondly remembered for his hard work, strong
commitment to his family, unique perspective on life, and wonderful sense of
humour. His memory will live on in the hearts and minds of his children Maureen
(George) Kashuba, Judy (Brian) Sherman, Bev (Ken) Hubert, David Derhousoff,
Kathy (Jeff) Demott, Terri (Andrew) Beattie; and his grandchildren and great
grandchildren. Mike is survived by his wife, Ingeborg Derhousoff of Wayne,
Alberta. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 9 at 2 p.m. at the
Elks Club in Drumheller, Alberta. "Dad, if love could have saved you, you would
live forever."

Graham: Barbara-Lynn (nee Cunningham) 1968 -
2004
Barbara-Lynn Graham (nee Cunningham) passed away on Friday, January 2, 2004 at
the age of 35 years. She is survived by her loving husband, David and son
Steven. Barbie is also survived by her mother, Alice Cunningham; her brothers,
Jim (Lynda), Raymond, Gordon (Judy), Cecil (Sharon); her sisters, Gail (Ron),
Debbie (Brent), Donna (Rob), Laurie, Mary-Jane (Gilles); her in-laws, Jim and
Jean Graham; brother-in-laws, Chuck (Wendy), Jim (Margaret), Rob (Rose), Duane;
and sister-in-laws Jean (Terry), Dawn (Gord); as well as numerous aunts, uncles,
nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Philip Cunningham, two
sisters, Marion and Valerie, and a brother, David. Barbie was the youngest
child in the family and was born on February 20, 1968. Barbie took her
schooling in Drumheller and in 1986 married the love of her life, David. They
were blessed with one child, Steven, who was born on January 17, 1990. Barbie's
life was dedicated to her family and she took great pleasure in watching Steven
grow up into a fine young man. Barbie (who was affectionately known as
Billy) will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew and loved
her. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to an Education Trust
Fund set up in Steven's name with the Chinook Credit Union Limited, Box 2049,
294 Centre Street, Drumheller, Alberta, T0J 0Y0. Funeral services are being
arranged through Courtney-Winter's Funeral Chapel.

Schaber: Ervin 1912 - 2003
Ervin Schaber of Drumheller passed away at the age of 91 years after a lengthy
illness at the Drumheller Continuing Care Facility on December 29, 2003 with his
loving family at his bedside. He is survived by his devoted wife, Doris of 63
years; his son Edward (Ivadell) Schaber of Provost; his daughter Evelyn (Herb)
Wittchen of Drumheller; three grandsons, Clay (Catherine) Wittchen of Saskatoon,
Tracy (Denise) Wittchen of Calgary, and Grant Schaber of Medicine Hat; two
great-grandsons Perry and Branden of Saskatoon; as well as three half-brothers
and numerous nieces and nephews. Ervin was predeceased by an infant daughter,
his parents, and grandson Mark Schaber, two sisters and three half-brothers.
Ervin was born at Grainger, AB on July 27, 1912, and married Doris Casebeer on
November 8, 1940. They farmed in the Morrin district before moving to
Drumheller in 1946. He was employed as a journeyman mechanic at various garages
for 31 years before retiring. He was a life-time member of the Pioneer Acres of
Irricana and restored vintage machinery. He enjoyed fishing, visiting and
helping others. Ervin and Doris took numerous trips across Canada, U.S.A., and
also to Hawaii and Mexico. A memorial service will be held at the Midland
Community Hall, 133 - 1st Ave. N.W. on Saturday, January 10, 2004 at 1 p.m.
