Parsons: William Douglas (Bill)  July 2, 1942 - February 4, 2004

Bill passed away peacefully in Calgary, AB at Glamorgan Care Centre after a lengthy struggle and illness. Bill served in the Army as a young man, then returned home to Drumheller and worked with McLeans Road Construction.  Bill then moved to Calgary and worked as a heavy duty mechanic.  In 1975 Bill was offered and moved overseas and worked in the oilfield industry, for many years, traveling to many different countries.  He always loved to return home and tell his friends and family about his experiences.  It was Billšs wishes to be cremated and laid to rest with his father, the late Jimmy Parsons, in Wardner, B.C.  Memorial service to be held in Drumheller at a later date to be announced, for any close friends and family that wish to attend.  Bill will be remembered by his family and friends. Schinnour: Rose  December 1, 1933 - February 3, 2004

On February 3, 2004 Rose Schinnour passed away peacefully to her new home in Heaven, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Rose was born in Raymond, AB to Mike and Stella Bosnak.  She was predeceased by her parents; four brothers, Pete Bosnak, Stan Bosnak, Frank Bosnak and John Bosnak.  She leaves to grieve her only sister, Jagie Gibbons of Picture Butte, AB. Rose leaves to cherish her memory, her eternal loving husband, friend and fishing buddy, Vern Schinnour.  She is also survived by her loving family, Rick (Joanne) Schinnour of Drumheller; Jackie (Brooks) Watts and Brighton Watts of Rumsey; Angela Schinnour of Drumheller; Terry (Wayne) Burton of Calgary; Kristen (Kevin) Thygesen and Aiden Thygesen of Calgary; Rob Wade of Vancouver; Sean Burton of Calgary; Cindy Schinnour (Doug Jannett) of Bakersfield, California; James Leonard, Ariela Leonard and Catlyn Leonard of Las Vegas, Nevada; Tammy (Andoni) Beristain, Devun Beristain and Mari Beristain of Las Vegas, Nevada; John (Beverly) Schinnour, Morgen Schinnour, Mason Schinnour; David (Tammy) Schinnour of Drumheller; Scott Schinnour of Calgary; Amanda Schinnour of Drumheller; Cathy (Rod) Morse, Courtney Morse and Ricky Morse of Drumheller. Rosešs life was celebrated on Saturday, February 7, 2004 with her family and friends at St. Anthonyšs Church.  Father Daniel Stevenot, and Mrs. Mary Miller conducted a beautiful ceremony in Rosešs honour. Rosešs final resting spot is the Columbarium in the Drumheller Cemetery. Anyone wishing to make a donation in Rosešs memory may do so to the Alberta Cancer Society.   

Toliver: Paul  1917 - 2004

Paul Toliver of Rumsey, Alberta passed away on February 3, 2004 at the Drumheller Hospital.  Paul (Pete) was born on November 21, 1914 in the Rumsey district to George and Edith Toliver.  He was predeceased by his parents, brothers and sisters, Irvin, Obie, Vernon, Andrew, Helen, Hazel and John.  He is survived by his wife Myrtle, children; Tom (Darla), Dale, Howard, 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Paul was raised in the Rumsey area, when the war broke out he volunteered for army.  He served with the Royal Canadian Engineers overseas in England, France, Holland and Germany.  Returning a year after the war ended to Rumsey, worked in the Leduc area running heavy equipment in the construction industry.  He returned to Rumsey and bought a farm near his father's homestead where he resided farming and ranching until his passing. He enjoyed the outdoors, horseback riding to dances in the community, playing baseball, trips to the river, picnics, berry picking, trapping, hunting, fishing, and traveling with family and friends. He met all adversities in life with courage and will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving family and friends. Funeral Services were held in Rumsey on February 9, 2004 with Rev. Jan Stevensen officiating.  Donations may be made to the Rom Baker Cancer Foundation.  Courtney-Winter's Funeral Chapel entrusted with the arrangements.
