Montgomery: Marguerite Hutton  (March 11, 1927 - August 16, 2004)

Marguerite Montgomery passed away August 16, 2004 at the Drumheller continuing care centre after a long illness. Marguerite was born March 11, 1927 at Lundbreck, Alberta. Marguerite is survived by her loving husband Eugene, three sons, John, Brian and Robert, two daughters, Deborah and Sharon. Also 13 grandchildren and 4 great  grandchildren and 3 brothers Martin, Richard and William. A memorial service was held at the Morrin Community Centre on August 21st at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, tributes may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. Rawlusyk: Freda Nancy  (April 2, 1919 - August 21, 2004)

Mrs. Freda Nancy Rawlusyk of Red Deer, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Saturday, August 21, 2004 at the age of 85 years.  Freda was born on April 2, 1919 and grew up on a farm near Hanna, Alberta.  While still a teenager, she moved to Drumheller to work, where she met Nick.  They were married in 1938 and worked side by side at the Vogue Studio until they retired.  In 1987, they  moved to Red Deer.  While Nick was ill with Alzheimers Disease, Freda went daily to the Auxiliary Hospital to care for him until his passing in 1990. Freda enjoyed her West Park house and yard and especially enjoyed caring for her flowers and watching the variety of birds that nested in her yard. Freda had a knack for making friends and she knew her neighbors well.  She enjoyed the many relatives and close friends who came to visit her, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Freda's interests included current events, knitting, baking, gardening and reading.  Freda will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered and cherished in the hearts of her family and dear friends.  Freda leaves to mourn her loss, her loving children, Bill (Joan) of Calgary, Bob (Fran) of Stettler and Jerry (Pat) of Red Deer, her grandchildren, Kathy (Doug) McDonnell and  Bill (Lisa)  Rawlusyk, both of Calgary, Dennis Rawlusyk of Melbourne, Australia, Jamie (Dana) Rawlusyk of Innisfail and Cori Rawlusyk of Red Deer and her nine great grandchildren who made her very proud.  She will also be sadly missed  by her brother, Bill Temple of Armstrong, British Columbia.  Freda was predeceased by her beloved husband, Nick, a daughter, Betty, a sister, Mary and brothers, Jack Temple and Dave Temple.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5508 ­ 48A Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at  11:00 a.m. with The Reverend Father Oscar Monroy celebrant.  Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.  If desired, Memorial Donations in Freda's honour may be made directly to the Parkinsonšs Society, 102, 5636 Burbank Crescent SE, Westech Building, Calgary, Alberta, T2H 1Z6.  Freda's family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses in the Intensive Care Unit at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre for their exceptional kindness to

Thompson: (Smiley) Janet Evelyn  June 15, 1919 - January 12, 2004

Janet Evelyn Thompson (nee Smiley) passed away peacefully on Monday, January 12, 2004 in Port Alberni, BC, at the age of 84. Born June 15, 1919 in Calgary, AB she had lived in Port Alberni since 1985. Predeceased by her husband, Alfred, she is survived by her daughter Sandy (John) Price of Calgary, and her sons Tom (Raylene) Thompson and Rick (Val) Thompson both of Port Alberni, BC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Bob Price, Debra (Shane) Simmons, Tamera (George) Cocco, Travis (Lisa) Thompson, Craig (Kim) Thompson, Kevin Thompson and Katrina Thompson and four great grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Janet's life at a graveside service at Burnsland Cemetery in Calgary at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2004.
