Lowe: Gordon Leslie 1920 - 2003

Mr. Gordon Leslie Lowe of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away at the Red Deer Nursing Home, Red Deer on Monday, October 6, 2003 at the age of 83 years. Gordon was born on May 3, 1920 at Austin, Manitoba.  He was a Veteran of World War II.  Gordon  loved farming and spent his life doing what he loved. He also loved his family very much.  Gordon will be sadly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. Gordon leaves to mourn his loss, his loving children, Leona Lowe of Edmonton, Alberta; Les (Linda) Lowe of Alix, Alberta; Randy Lowe of Lloydminister, Alberta/Saskatchewan; and Miles (Terry) Lowe of Red Deer; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sister, Hazel Sargent of Delia, Alberta. Gordon was predeceased by a son, Daryl Lowe, three brothers and two sisters. Relatives and friends are invited to come and pay their respects at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 - 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday evening between the hours of 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.  A Celebration of Gordonšs life will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, October 10, 2003 at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Donald Lewis officiating.  Interment will follow at Alto-Reste Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta.  If desired, memorial donations in Gordonšs honour may be made directly to the Red Deer Nursing Home, 4736 - 30th Street, Red Deer, Alberta T4N 5H8.  Condolences may be forwarded to the family at www.eventidefuneralchapels.com. Ostergard: Christian Moller (Chris) 1921 - 2003

Christian Moller Ostergard passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2003 at the age of 82 in the Drumheller Health Centre. Chris was born in Jannerup, Denmark on September 29, 1921 and immigrated to Canada in 1950.  Chris married Karen Jacobsen in 1950. Chris is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Peggy (Blair) of Edmonton and Robin (Craig) of High Level; grandchildren Terry, David and Tracy, Christopher and Teresea and 3 great grandchildren; brother Emil and sister Anne of Denmark; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends. Chris was proud owner of Ostergard Motors and his association with Toyota. He will be fondly remembered for his love of cars, airplanes, flying, crib games and trips to Reno, and affiliation with the Masonic Lodge. If friends desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to Drumheller Cancer Clinic. An informal memorial service will be held at the Dalum Hall on Thursday, October 9 at 11 a.m. The family of Chris, would like to thank Dr. Graham, Dr. Neffgen and all the nursing staff at the Drumheller Hospital for their compassion, support and tender care of Chris during the past 3 weeks.
