Jackson: Gordon A. October 1, 1924 - April 30, 2003

Gordon Jackson, beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away peacefully after he was admitted to the Drumheller Hospital on April 29, 2003. He was predeceased by his son  James in 1995.  He is survived by his faithful wife of 59 years Stella, his son Robert (Lorie), his son Terry (Debbie), his daughter Darlene (Wes) and daughter-in-law Linda.  He is also survived by his seven grandchildren; Trenton, Tyler, Natasha, Natara, Joseph, Darlene and Corey.  He also has four great grandchildren; Kallee, Nerissa, Hayden, and Franco.  Also his sisters Thelma Roblick and June (Barry) Bigham. Gordon has farmed in the Dalum/Rosebud community since 1938.  He was born in Drumheller, the only son of Maitie and Gabriel Jackson. Donations may be made to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre instead of flowers. Funeral Services were held at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Dalum on Saturday, May 3, 2003 at 2:00 p.m.. Courtney-Winterıs Funeral Chapel entrusted with the arrangements.

Kupczynski: Annie 1905 - 2003

On April 24, 2003, Annie passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Extendicare Holyrood Seniors Home at the age of 97 years. Annie was predeceased by her husband, Tony in 1988 and is survived by her son, Henry (Muriel); grandchildren, Don (Cecelia), Sandra and Karen and great grandchildren, Angela, Marielle, Joshua and Annieca.  She is also survived by a younger sister, Anastasia in the Ukraine.  Annie was born in the Ukraine in 1905 and managed to survive the severe hardships of World War I.  In 1928 she emigrated to Canada and Drumheller where she worked for five years before marrying Tony.  In 1934 they moved to an acreage at Gartley where they resided until 1961.  There Annie took great pride in growing a massive garden each year and especially tomato plants.  In 1961 Tony and Annie moved to Munson for one year and then to Rumsey where Tony retired from the Railway in 1968.  In 1968 they moved to Drumheller where Annie lived to the year 2000.  She then continued gardening and thoroughly enjoyed baking angel food cakes, baking hundred of them for family and friends for Christmas, Easter, birthdays or whatever the occasion might be.  In 2000 Annie moved to Edmonton and shortly thereafter into the seniors home at Extendicare Holyrood where she resided until her death.  The family would like to express their sincerest thanks to Dr. Dusang and all the staff at Holyrood Extendicare for the kindness and very caring attention extended to Annie. Reverend Tesfu Kelati celebrated a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael-Resurrection Catholic Church, Edmonton on Monday, April 28, 2003 with interment following at South Haven Cemetery.

Mazutinec/Chomos:  Elaine Ruth 1933 - 2003

Elaine Ruth passed away peacefully at Claresholm, AB on April 21, 2003 at the age of 70.   She is survived by three sisters, six daughters, five sons and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by Dad (Steve Chomos) on December 19, 1976, her father Alex in 1966 and her mother Ruth in 1984.
