Cole: Ken 1927 - 2003
Ken Cole passed away suddenly in his home on August 11, 2003, at the age of 75
years. Ken is survived by Winn, his best friend and wife of fifty-one years,
his daughter Patty Hanson of Stettler, his sons Don Cole of London, Ontario and
Douglas Cole (Marj) of Calgary, his seven grandchildren; Scott Hanson (Darcy) of
Calgary, Charlisa Hanson of Calgary, Michael Hanson of Stettler, Matthew Cole of
London, Ontario, Brady Cole of London, Ontario, Jessica Cole of Calgary and
Brian Cole of Calgary, and his cousin Gordon Kilburn (Aira) of Whiterock, B.C.
Ken was born in Drumheller on September 17, 1927. He was employed at the
Caterpillar Dealer until his retirement in 1981. Ken was a member of the St.
Andrew's Presbyterian Church and a former member of Grace Presbyterian Church,
having served as an elder and member of both choirs for a number of years. His
life was marked by his generosity and interest in others, always lending a
helping hand. He had deep religious beliefs and a strong faith in God which was
a great source of comfort for him and his family. Ken will be terribly missed
and will be mourned by his family and many friends. Funeral Services were held
at Grace Presbyterian Church, (1009 - 15 Avenue S.W.) on Friday, August 15, 2003

Morrison: Harry Edwin 1918 - 2003
Harry Edwin Morrison was born August 30, 1918 at Delia, Alberta. He passed away
August 15, 2003. Harry attended Starland School. Harry married Doris Jensen on
November 29, 1943. They had two children, Keith and Jean. Harry farmed all his
life. He enjoyed playing cards. Harry leaves to mourn Keith of Delia and
Jean and Barry of Didsbury; his sister Joyce (Jack) Lawrence of Kelowna, B.C.;
brother Jack (Joan) Morrison of Delia; sister-in-law Thelma (Buch) Braunberger
of Drumheller; brother-in-law Frank West and friend Vivian of Stettler;
brother-in-law Ken Jensen of Calgary; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was
predeceased by his wife Doris, his parents French and Lillian Morrison and
brother Mike. Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at
Delia United Church at 2:00 P.M. Interment followed at the Delia Cemetery. In
lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to STARS,

Sidorchuk: Mary
Mary ascended into the hands of God comfortably and peacefully under the
gracious care of the staff of 6100 at Royal University Hospital on Monday,
August 11, 2003. Mary was born and raised in Drumheller. Later she married and
moved to the farming community of Verwood, Saskatchewan. She leaves behind, who
will always dearly keep a place in their heart for Mom and Grandma, are daughter
Patricia McAvoy, son-in-law Jim and three grandchildren, Keegan, Alekcei and her
precious Kelly-Anne. Mom was a very independent, private and caring person.
Her love for fine art work, needlework, embroidery and collectibles will forever
be adorned and admired. A unique plate collection will be cherished and
admired. Mary spent countless hours in making home and environment of warmth,
love and beauty. Her greatest love was indeed her family to whom she dedicated
her life. Mary will return to her original birthplace, Drumheller, Alberta. A
private family ceremony will take place in Saskatoon. Surrounded by angels in
her life, she will forever be surrounded by angels in death. Arrangements are

Slater: Gary John 1954 - 2003
Gary John Slater, beloved father of Justin Ross and Gary Slater Jr., passed away
suddenly in Regina, August 5, 2003. Gary will be lovingly remembered by his
brothers and sisters, Guy (Kathy) Brian, Dan (Shayan), Linda (Chick), Gwen
(Larry) and Penny. Gary was born September 27, 1954 in Canmore to Stan and Beryl
Slater. He is predeceased by his father in 1962 and his mother in October 2002.
He spent a good part of his life in the Canmore area. He worked in the coal
mines and in later years the Exshaw Lime Plant. He also lived a number of years
in Drumheller. Gary was very proud of his two sons and cherished the time he
spent with them. Gary enjoyed playing cards with his family till the wee hours
of the morning. He loved to read, play pool, ping pong, horseshoes and ride his
motorbike. He will always be remembered for lending a helping hand when called
upon. He was always there with a big smile and a good joke. A memorial
service was held in Regina on August 12. Gary will be laid to rest beside his
mother in the Rowley Cemetery on the 23rd of August at 11:00 A.M. Gary will be
greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
