Kaiser: Philip Herbert Kaiser of Fort Macleod, Alberta passed away at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital on November 14, 2002 at the age of 61 years. Philip is survived by his numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his mother Frieda in 2000, his father George in 1993 and by his brother Edward in 1986. Philip was born on October 29, 1941 at Bassano, Alberta. He resided in Hussar until 1990 when the family moved to Fort Macleod, Alberta. Philip's time was spent enjoying his numerous friends, his horses, cattle and his dogs. A Memorial Service will be held at Eden's Funeral Home, Fort Macleod on Thursday, November 21, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. with Brian Waldie officiating. Cremation. Melynk: Paul was born to John and
Magdeline on July 10, 1927 at Edwand, Alberta. He passed away on November 15,
2002, in the Drumheller Continuing Care Centre at the age of 75 years. Paul was
the youngest of six children. The family homesteaded in the Low Level area south
east of Smokey Lake. He married Olga Mackawosky of Kingman on August 7, 1948,
they had five children together; two daughters; Rosemarie (Barry) Oberg of
Forestburg, and Pauline (Barry) Fossen of Camrose, as well as three sons; Ronald
(Laurie) Melnyk of Forestburg, Donald (Judy) Melnyk of Barrhead and Douglas
Melnyk of Forestburg. Paul had a long career as a mechanic and businessman and
resided in New Sarepta, Leduc, Daysland, Round Hill, Boyle and Forestburg. Paul
was an outdoorsman and liked fishing, hunting, boating, gardening, yard work and
enjoyed going to auctions. He always enjoyed traveling. He took his family on
many trips to the mountains and enjoyed several trips and cruises to other
countries. His grandchildren; Tara (Scott) Jackson, Kurt (Jessie) Oberg, Jan
Fossen, Jodie (Sean) Ulmer, Jared (Leanne) Melnyk, Dallas Melnyk, Mitchell and
Kendell Melnyk, Kevin and Amber Melnyk, along with his Great Grandchildren;
Kayley and Chase Jackson and Kora Oberg, were a joy to him and loved teasing
them. Paul moved to Camrose to retire, where Olga suddenly passed away on
November 30, 1992. Paul and Donna were married on August 27, 1994 and resided in
Drumheller, where he worked during harvest time part time and drove new vehicles
for pick up and delivery for Western Chevrolet Oldsmobile. In June of 2002, he
moved into Drumheller Continuing Care Centre. After suffering for many years
Paul passed away from P.S.P. (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) a degenerative
neurological disorder. Paul was predeceased by his parents; John in 1961, and
Magdeline in 1990, his first wife Olga in 1992, and his brother Peter and sister
Mary Skoreyko. Paul is survived by his wife, Donna , his children, and
grandchildren. Paul will be sadly missed by Donnašs children; Kim (Joanne) Koda
of Stoney Plain, Terry Koda of Drumheller, Chareen Wiley and Doug Flotten of
Drumheller, as well as his step-grandchildren, Daina and Liam Koda, Cassandra
and Mathew Koda, Regis, Marius and Carinna Wiley, and Kiara Flotten. Paul is
also survived by his two brothers and sister; George Melnyk of Smokey Lake, Bill
(Kay) Melnyk of Fruitvale, B.C. and Nancy
Shoreyko of Smokey Lake. Numerous loved nieces, nephews, mother, brothers and
sisters-in-law and other relations and friends. He will be sadly missed by all
of his family and friends.
