McMaster: Amy Doreen McMaster passed away on January 9th, 2002 in Calgary, Alberta at the Peter Lougheed Hospital. She was the daughter of Eunice McMaster of Drumheller, Alberta and the late Gordon N. McMaster. Born August 12, 1953 in Trenton, Ontario, Amy Doreen left Ontario in 1967 and settled in and around the Drumheller area. An avid car buff, she was at home behind the wheel of her car or delivery van often driving her mother to Calgary for doctors appointments, whenever needed. She will be sadly missed by her loving partner Jim Merkel, three children - Rick Schackwidt, Patricia Desmarais, and Nick Blanchette, and three grandchildren - Kimberly, Davis and Dyllon, brothers and sisters - Allen McMaster (Lola) of Orono, Ontario, Helen Dube (Morris), Dalum, Alberta, Hazel Balcaen (Bob), McBride, B.C., Gordie McMaster (Roxanne), Haddishville, Manitoba, Robert McMaster (Linda), Pickering, Ontario, Eugene McMaster (Trudy), Drumheller, Alberta, Neil McMaster, Drumheller, Alberta and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Courtney- Winters Funeral Chapel on January 14, 2002 and interred with her father in the Drumheller Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Peter Lougheed Centre, Unit 51, 3500-26th Street North East, Calgary, Alberta, T1Y 6J4. Courtney-Winters Funeral Chapel were entrusted with the arrangements.
